Respect, anyone?
So...there's all these sales on Memorial Day...yeah...I never used to notice or care that people do that, but now...now that I think about it, that's a little disrespectful, don't you think?
I mean, Memorial Day is supposed to be the day that we honor and pay our respects to those in the military that are risking/have risked their lives just for us, and the main thing we do is have sales on furniture and cars. Why not have some kind of...idk, firework show or have those that can donate some necessities of some type do so, it'd make a little more sense, you know?
Maybe there are people out there that do those things, but from what I've seen, the most advertised and most public actions that are widely known for Memorial Day are the sales.


How about that there environment?
Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking. "We've all heard this stuff before....stop polluting the air...we get it." No,no. That's not what I'm trying to talk about. Hunting is basically what I'm gonna bug you about. Some people don't see what's wrong with it. "It's population control...." Yeah-no. Animals can do that for themselves. They had that kind of balance WAY before we were here, and they'll have it long after we're gone. We aren't needed for that purpose. "Animals do it all the time...we should be able to hunt too" And again, yeah-no. They do it to survive. Not to stare at the other animals' dead carcass on the wall. "Well...what if I eat the animals too? Does that make it right to you?" No. No it doesn't. There are enough cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and whatever other type of farm animals out there being raised just to die for you people to eat. Stop killing other animals for your freakin appetite.
"You're not even a vegetarian...what do you mean 'you people'?" ...Stfu. I mean you hunting people. Even with the farm animals I have limits on what types I eat, so...nyeh.


Got Gas?
How much is it now? Nearly $5? Jeeze. Makes me kind of afraid of getting a car. If you've ever seen I Am Legend, look at the prices for the gas. I do believe that that is where we are heading soon. Maybe the oil companies should get their heads out of their own asses and sponsor one or more of the alternative fuels. If there's even one that is already trying, kudos to them. But please do try harder...please?

So...why are the troops still in Iraq? I semi-understand that we're there trying to set them free from the tyranny of...someone...but the actual facts seem to constantly escape me. We're out there fighting their war? More of our people are dying because terrorists came and tore a large fraction of the American living from the world? I understand that their attack on the U.S. was something to be angry about. It destroyed so many lives - so many families. But now what? What is all this fighting doing? Destroying more lives, and even more families. That's all I see. That's the only result I can tell is coming from this. More destruction.

No way. I had no idea that the world was diverse in race, ethnicity, culture, music, religion, and basically everything else. How dare you not be like me!
Seriously though, the whole "I must change/be cruel to you because you aren't like me" thing is ages old, and should've ended a LONG time ago. I don't see why, once upon a time, Africans were enslaved, the Jewish were slowly being destroyed, already-occupied countries were conquered, and races were wiped out. Did people really see so much of a difference between themselves and the people they were hurting?
And now...now there are still some things like this going on. Why? Why can't people just see that they are no different than anyone else? Without the money, the heritage, or whatever else that makes them think they're above someone else, they're just the same as the others. Human.
Why is that so hard to understand?


The children, they are the future...
Well damn, we're pretty screwed now, aren't we? Seriously, have you seen this/the next generation? Not to be rude, but jeeze, we/they're gonna kill everyone. So many of them/us are being brain-washed into this world where they know only how to be superficial, arrogant, ignorant, rude, perverted, cruel...basically everything the older generations would get beat for. Many of the newer parents think "well, I'm not gonna beat my baby....I don't want to mess up his/her life" Honestly, look at your kid. Look at how they act. Are they little assholes? Does your little boy hit girls? Then hit them. I'm serious. No amount of "Hey, don't do that" will make them stop unless you are some kind of super-parent.
Along with that, my own generation could seriously use some tweaking/beating/whatever you feel is appropriate for us. We too are becoming a generation that doesn't know how to look past some of the more superficial things. We too look at anyone different and say "I don't like them, they're just too...strange". Seperating the ones that dress darkly, the ones that listen to this type of music, the ones that are in sports, the ones that are individuals, the ones that aren't like you. Maybe it goes away once you mature or something, but still...
... We're all human, so why can't we get along?


Yeah, I know. Random musings/rantings, but hey, do they at least make you think?
